Oklahoma!

• St George Musical Theater

• “Oklahoma! is a classic Rodgers and Hammerstein musical set against the backdrop of the Oklahoma Territory at the turn of the 20th century. The story revolves around the romantic entanglements of the spirited farm girl Laurey, the charming cowboy Curly, and the menacing farmhand Jud Fry. Against the backdrop of a burgeoning community, the musical explores themes of love, rivalry, and the pioneering spirit. With memorable songs and lively dance numbers, “Oklahoma!” is celebrated for its contribution to the American musical theater canon.”

Gypsy — A Musical Fable

• “Gypsy is the ultimate tale of an ambitious stage mother fighting for her daughters’ success – while secretly yearning for her own. It is set across America in the 1920s and 30s when vaudeville was dying and burlesque was born.”

Movie in the Park

• FREE Event

• “Looking for something to do with your Friday nights? St. George Town Square becomes an outdoor movie theatre on the 2nd and 4th Friday of the month. Classic movies for adults and children will be shown on the big screen under the stars. Bring your blankets, lawn chairs and goodies to enjoy the evening and movie as it begins at dusk.”

The Mighty Steelheads Concert

• “The Mighty Steelheads are a multi-genre band based in Crescent City California. Vern Monnett grew up in LaVerkin and is returning to perform for friends and family with his band. He began working as the pedal steel guitarist for Tex Mex legend Freddy Fender in 1993. He worked with Fender until Fender's death in 2005. This collaboration would result in recording two albums and worldwide touring to Europe, Japan, Canada, Australia and the United States. He has even done an cameo in "The Beverly Hillbillies" and can be seen playing guitar behind Dolly Pardon.”

Ancient Puebloan Pottery Workshop

• August 10th-October 26th

• Red Mountain Resort

• “Learn how the Ancient Puebloan people living in the St. George area worked in synergy with the spirits of nature. Pottery was viewed as a combination of the clay’s and potter’s spirits. Discover their rich culture and history as you hand-build your own clay pot using these ancient techniques, tools, and rituals. Collect and craft your own native plant brush to paint your vessel. The event includes material, firing, and shipping.”
