Southern Utah in September
Welcome to Southern Utah! You've come right as the weather becomes ideal to stay and play in our beautiful backyard. We have a little bit of everything for any taste. There is certainly no shortage of fun to be had in our beautiful area. I have narrowed this month's events to the following. Have fun exploring!
Every Saturday in September we have a farmer’s market (including artisanal items) across the street in Ancestor Square. We also have an arts market at Tuacahn featuring local artists and crafters.
For our athletic fans we have the Kokopelli Sprint & Olympic Triathlon on September 12th out at Sand Hollow State Park.
While our famous Tuacahn Theater is temporarily closed due to Covid-19, we still have smaller venue productions. Check out the St. George Musical Theater's production of Joseph & the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat playing through September 19th.
We still have a couple large gatherings planned here in Southern Utah. The Dixie Round-up Rodeo at the Sunbowl is going from September 17th to the 19th. It is a rodeo set in a small stadium for great viewing. Cowboys and cowgirls show up in their Levi’s, boots, and hats. One of our favorite events is the Mutton Busting (sheep riding.) The second event is the Southern Utah Lantern Festival at Sand Hollow State Park on September 19th. Watch 100’s of lanterns take flight on an early fall evening.
Come stay at The Mulberry Inn and be located right in the middle of the fun!
